From paste to verdict

How the email verification tool works

Three steps, no signup, no card on file. Paste any address, watch the nine-check engine verify it, read the verdict in two seconds.

001INPUT

Paste the address

Drop any email into the pill — Gmail, Outlook, custom domains, or role aliases like info@ and sales@. Verify one address free right now, or upload a CSV to check a whole list once you sign up.

002ENGINE

Run the 9-check engine

Nine checks fire in parallel: syntax, DNS, and MX records, a live SMTP handshake, catch-all and disposable detection, role and domain-age signals, mailbox state, and email authentication. The full verdict then lands in about two seconds.

003VERIFY

Verdict in 2 seconds

Every address comes back valid, invalid, or risky, with a confidence score, the full per-check breakdown, and a recommended retry policy. Read the result right there on the page, or pull it straight from the API.

The tool, explained

What email verification actually does

Not syntax-only. A live SMTP handshake on every address, plus AI-confidence scoring on every catch-all domain it runs into.

Most signup forms wave an address through as long as it looks like an email. That is syntax checking, not verification. A real email verification tool has to prove the mailbox behind the address can receive mail: it resolves the domain, reads the MX records, opens an SMTP conversation with that server, and asks whether the specific mailbox exists. Verifox runs nine of these checks on every address you paste above, the same pipeline behind our email verification service, and hands back a verdict in two seconds.

See it in action

Everything the checker does, on one screen

From one pasted address to a full CSV, every check runs the same nine-layer engine and hands you a verdict you can send on.

Single check

Verify one email in seconds

Paste an address and the checker runs all nine deliverability layers (syntax to live SMTP) and hands back a verdict, a 0-100 confidence score, and the full check-by-check breakdown. You send to a confirmed inbox, never a hopeful guess.

/dashboard/verify

Bulk & CSV

Verify a whole list at once

Upload a CSV or paste a list, and the checker works the entire batch (the same nine-check engine on every single row), then returns a clean file split into valid, risky, and invalid, ready to export.

/dashboard/lists

API & MCP

Drop it into your stack

One REST call verifies an address and returns the verdict as JSON , with cURL, Node, and Python examples ready to copy. Wiring an AI agent instead? The same verification ships as a native MCP server.

Analytics

Watch your list health over time

Every check you run rolls up into one activity view: volume, valid rate, and risk trends across single checks, bulk jobs, and API calls, so you catch a decaying list before it dents your sender reputation.

Why this one

An email verification service, without the tradeoffs

What teams are saying

Built for the teams that ship outbound

Growth leads, marketers, and engineers running real campaigns on real lists, with a verified email on every byline.

Thomas George, GTM Lead at Stripe

90% lower bill, 0.4% bounces

We were paying ZeroBounce a four-figure monthly bill and still landing 3% bounces on cold campaigns. Switched the pipeline to Verifox, dropped to 0.4% bounces, and cut the bill by more than 90%.
Thomas G.GTM Lead, Stripe
Brittany King, GTM Lead at HubSpot

Catch-all finally has a verdict

Other tools flag 30% of our B2B list as 'risky catch-all' and leave the call to us. Verifox returns a real verdict on those addresses, with a confidence score. We send more, we send safer.
Brittany K.GTM Lead, HubSpot
Dale Micallef, GTM Lead at Slack

Reputation rebuilt in 6 weeks

We had a Gmail spam-folder problem after a bad list import. Verifox cleaned the list and the warmup ran on the same engine. Back in primary inbox in six weeks. One vendor, half the cost.
Dale M.GTM Lead, Slack
Erica Kovalkoski, GTM Lead at Discord

0.7% bounce on 50k

Ran a 50,000-address outbound list through Verifox before our quarterly campaign. Bounces landed at 0.7%, sender reputation didn't move, replies were up 22% over last quarter.
Erica K.GTM Lead, Discord
Greg Lindsay, GTM Lead at OpenAI

MCP in 10 minutes

Their MCP server let me wire email verification directly into our internal Claude agent in about ten minutes. Zero glue code. No other vendor in this space has thought about that workflow.
Greg L.GTM Lead, OpenAI
Rini Vasana, Product Manager at Vercel

10k/min held under 400ms

Tested Verifox at 10,000 verifications per minute on a Tuesday morning. Latency held under 400ms median, no soft failures, no rate-limit walls. The vendor we benched throttled at 2,000/min.
Rini V.Product Manager, Vercel
Jonathan Aharon, GTM Lead at MongoDB

Hygiene that doesn't break pipeline

Our SDRs were enriching from three tools and 14% of the emails were invalid before they hit the sequencer. Verifox sits in the pipeline now and the team stopped seeing 'undeliverable' replies the next week.
Jonathan A.GTM Lead, MongoDB
Emma Fox, GTM Lead at Linear

Bulk that actually ships

Bulk upload, sorted CSV back in twenty minutes, plug into our growth stack. The half-day list-hygiene project per cohort turned into something the marketing intern runs on autopilot.
Emma F.GTM Lead, Linear
David Hare, GTM Lead at Snowflake

Scores you can act on

Verifox returns a 0-100 confidence score per address, not just a label. We thresholded at 75 for the cold sequencer, 60 for nurture, and our deliverability team finally has a knob they can tune.

Common questions

Email verification, answered

The questions we get from teams that land here for a working email verification tool to clean a list, with the real numbers, real limits, and real opinions behind our verification stack.

Is the email verification tool actually free?

Yes, for 4 verifications a day right in the widget above. There is no account step, no card field, and no trial countdown quietly running; the allowance simply resets every 24 hours.

When four stops being enough, a free signup loads 1,000 credits onto your balance the moment you confirm, or 2,500 if you register with a work address. Past that, you buy credit packs that never expire, with rates localized to your region.

What does this email verification tool actually check?

Every address you paste runs through nine checks at once: RFC 5321/5322 syntax and format, domain existence and MX records, a live SMTP handshake and mailbox ping, catch-all domain detection, AI-confidence scoring on the catch-all hits, a disposable-domain match, role-address detection, domain-age scoring, and SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication presence.

The catch-all steps matter most: 20 to 40 % of B2B email lists fail behind catch-all domains, and those are exactly the checks most tools quietly skip. The standalone email verifier and the full email verification service run this identical pipeline.

How accurate is this email verification service?

99.99 % on our 1,000-address benchmark list, catch-all domains included, and that figure is measured on the exact engine this page calls, not a marketing build of it.

There is no “lite” mode hiding behind the free widget. The tool here invokes the same nine-check pipeline our paid email verification service exposes, so the verdict you get for free matches the verdict a Volume customer pays for. The only thing the free tier caps is how many you can run.

Can I verify a list of emails in bulk for free?

Up to your free credit balance, yes. Signing up loads 1,000 verifications (2,500 with a work email), which clears most early-stage lists without spending anything. Upload a CSV and the tool hands back a verdict per row plus a cleaned file you can re-import straight into your sender.

Bigger lists run on credit packs that are pay-as-you-go and never expire, and bulk processing moves at roughly 10,000 emails per minute on the standard tier. Prefer to script it? The API docs cover the batch endpoints.

Do you store the emails I verify?

No. An address lives in memory only for the few hundred milliseconds the checks take, then it is gone. We never log it, never retain it, and never sell it, whether the request came from this tool or the API.

Verifox is SOC 2 Type II audited, and the privacy policy spells out exactly what passes through the pipeline. If your security team wants the full Trust Center report, ask and we will send it over.

What do the valid, invalid, and risky verdicts mean for my send?

Valid means the mailbox answered the SMTP conversation, so send with confidence. Invalid means the address failed a hard check (broken syntax, a dead domain, or a mailbox the server says does not exist) and will bounce; cut those before any campaign goes out.

Risky covers the gray zone: catch-all domains, role addresses like info@, and very young domains. The tool attaches an AI-confidence score to each one so you can pick your own threshold. And when an address comes back invalid, the email finder can often locate a working one at the same company.

What's the difference between an email verification tool and a validator?

In practice, nothing. People say “verify email address” and “validate email address” to mean the same job: confirm an address is real, reachable, and safe to send to. Verifox runs the identical nine-check engine either way.

If you prefer the “validate” phrasing, the free email validator is the same tool under a different name. Both share the same accuracy, the same verification engine, and the same free tier.

What happens when I hit the daily limit?

The widget locks for 24 hours, then the 4-a-day allowance resets on its own. The same cap applies on our free email checker, so hopping between pages will not buy extra runs.

The faster route is a free account: 1,000 credits the moment you confirm, 2,500 with a work address, still no card. Teams cleaning lists of 10,000+ addresses on a schedule usually graduate to a credit pack from there.

How fast is the email verification tool, and is there an SLA?

A single verdict lands in about 380 ms at the median, and a repeat lookup served from cache returns in under 50 ms. Bulk jobs stream at roughly 10,000 emails per minute on the standard tier, so a 50,000-row CSV finishes in around five minutes.

The REST API rides the same infrastructure with a 99.9 % uptime SLA on Starter and 99.99 % on an annual Volume contract. Live uptime and incident history sit at status.verifox.ai; rate limits live in the API docs.

Can I add email verification to my own app or AI agent?

Yes. The REST API reference documents the inbound and outbound shapes for every endpoint, so you can drop real-time email verification into signup forms, CRMs, or any tool that speaks REST. HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and Brevo all connect out of the box.

Verifox also ships native MCP server support so AI agents (Claude, Cursor, custom LLM apps) can verify addresses without glue code. Drop the MCP URL into your agent config and the tools are wired.
