1. What the Guarantee Covers
Verifox (verifox.ai) stands behind the accuracy of our email verification results. The Zero Bounce Guarantee covers email addresses that we return as "Valid" — meaning our SMTP probing concluded that the address is actively deliverable at the time of verification.
The guarantee is simple: if a "Valid" verified email address hard-bounces when you send to it within 30 days of verification, we will refund the credit used to verify that address. This applies to hard bounces (permanent delivery failures), not soft bounces (temporary issues such as full mailboxes or server timeouts).
2. How to Claim
To claim a credit refund under the Zero Bounce Guarantee:
- Collect the bounce notification from your email sending platform (the raw bounce message, SMTP error code, and timestamp).
- Confirm the bounce occurred within 30 days of the Verifox verification date (visible in your verification history).
- Email the bounce evidence to support@verifox.ai with the subject "Zero Bounce Claim." Include your account email, the verified address, the verification date, and the bounce message.
- We will review and process valid claims within 5 business days, crediting the appropriate number of credits to your account.
Bulk claims (more than 50 addresses in a single batch) may require additional review time. Contact us to discuss bulk claim processing.
3. Exclusions
The Zero Bounce Guarantee does not apply in the following circumstances:
- Catch-all domains: Addresses on catch-all domains (where the mail server accepts all email regardless of whether the mailbox exists) are flagged in our results and excluded from the guarantee.
- Greylisting: If a hard bounce results from greylisting or temporary anti-spam measures at the recipient's mail server, this is not covered (it is a temporary block, not a permanent delivery failure).
- Changed status after verification: If a mailbox is deleted or disabled after we verify it as valid but before you send to it, the bounce is not covered by this guarantee — deliverability status can change at any time.
- Sending infrastructure issues: If the bounce results from your sending domain being blacklisted, your IP being blocked, or any issue with your email sending infrastructure rather than the recipient address, the guarantee does not apply.
- Addresses marked "Risky" or "Unknown": Only addresses returned with a "Valid" status are covered by this guarantee.
4. Accuracy Benchmarks
Our verified "Valid" results achieve a deliverability accuracy rate of 99%+ on non-catch-all addresses, based on our internal testing across millions of verifications. This benchmark is reviewed quarterly and published in our annual Deliverability Transparency Report.
Email deliverability is inherently probabilistic — mail server administrators change configurations, mailboxes are created and deleted, and anti-spam policies evolve continuously. Our guarantee is designed to protect you against the rare cases where our system makes an incorrect call, not against normal mailbox lifecycle changes.
5. No Cash Refunds
Zero Bounce Guarantee claims are fulfilled as account credits equivalent to the credits originally used to verify the bounced address. These credits can be used for any future verification on the platform. We do not issue cash refunds under this guarantee. For cash refund requests, see our Refund Policy.
